Hi Guys, it's been a long time since I have posted , I've had plenty of home time because of the corona virus but I've been using this time to update my Cool Tees site with a lot of new products.
 
 
 I've lost 20 lbs since January, not earth shattering but still a victory.   My clothes are getting very loose and the ones that were too small are being rotated back into my main closet.  That's a great feeling!!


  
I'm doing the plant based way of eating, not calling it a diet, just a new way of eating.  The term used for my food choices is called Flexitarian , I have cut back on animal protein, eating  a small amount, and using it to season food but enjoying a bounty of fruits and vegetables.

  Here are 5 Benefits of a plant based diet.

1. You are not hungry all the time:  I prep my fruits and vegetables so they will be convenient if I want to eat something.  Think about fast food Restaurants,  it's all about speed and convenience. They are always ready,  We should be ready at home to eat something healthy and fast,  Prep the fruits and vegetables you love.  Try a new one each week.  Our tastes change.

2. Easy weight management:  You are not obsessed with food.  If your hungry, eat a potato, a piece of fruit, or any carb that is filling and satisfying for you,  I never ate bread when I went low carb.  I love bread and potatoes and now I can eat them with no guilt,

3. Prevent and Reverse diseases: I have read case after case of people reversing heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and even some cancers.That alone should make us all want to change our eating habits.

4.  No calorie counting: You are learning a new way to eat and there are no need to count calories.  Weigh occasionally to see if you are on track.  Remember gaining or losing weight fast is not good for your body.  Easy, slow weight loss is sustainable.  Lose it fast and you will gain it back twice as fast.  We all have seen that before.

5.  You will live longer:  Studies have shown that plant based food dieters have a lower mortality rate
 than less healthy eaters.  Less healthy foods like cake, white bread, and sodas will do your body no justice. Whole grains, beans, veggies and fruit assure you will  meet your daily requirements for fiber,  another great benefit of this diet.
